ESPN: Packers MLB Nick Barnett out for season

From ESPN.com,

Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Monday that Barnett tore a right knee ligament in Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings, which the Packers lost 28-27, but he wouldn't specify if it was an ACL tear. Surgery has not yet been scheduled.

The injury bug keeps biting the Pack, who have already suffered major losses on a defense that can't seem to stop the run and gave up 192 yards to Adrian Peterson yesterday. The loss of Barnett will hurt, but could be an opportunity for linebackers such as Desmond Bishop, Abdul Hodge and Brandon Chillar.

More to come later in the Monday Sports Hangover...
